The City of Worthington
Firefighters Community Park

The Park

The City of Worthington's
Firefighters Community Park
soon to be a reality

The proud members of the Worthington Division of Fire and EMS and have been serving the Worthington community for more than 75 years
Help us honor the firefighters of the past, present and future by helping to construct the

Firefighters Community Park

Over the years, the City of Worthington Firefighters have witnessed changes in the Worthington community and the world we live in.  They continue to see the frightened looks on the new parent’s faces following a 911 call because their child was just not acting right.  They have seen the eyes of the families desperately watching as they try to bring their loved one back from harm’s way. They have even delivered the unexpected child, helping to create a sense of family in an instant.

The City of Worthington Firefighters have been fortunate enough to work with and learn from some of the most experienced men and women in the field.  They arrive at work, leaving their own families behind, ready to protect you and your own family from harm with selfless service.  The men and women of the Division of Fire and EMS are your extended family.

This dedicated group lives one-third of their lives together.  They call each other "brothers and sisters" of the fire service.
They laugh, cry and play jokes, just as other families do.

The Firefighters are dedicated to build the City of Worthington Firefighters Community Park. The Park will honor past, present and future firefighters of the City of Worthington, as well as those throughout this great country.  The Park will serve as a proud gathering place for the citizens of Worthington and the surrounding areas, along with add to to the beautification of the firehouse on High Street.

The Park will include a sculpture by Ron Dewey of Sculptureworks, flags to pay tribute, a paved area and benches, along with a wall to pay respect to past members of Sharon Township Fire Department and the City of Worthington Division of Fire and EMS.
